"I've been playing guitar for about a year and a half and I absolutely love it. It's a funny story how I got my first one. My mom was the registrar at my high school and a lady came asking if she knew of anyone at the school who was wanting to learn guitar... For Christmas that year I went to this sweet woman's house and she gave it to me wrapped in ribbon. That was the best gift I could've ever received."
"I want to be known as an artist who is relatable in every song that I write... music you can feel. I want to say things through my songs that others can't say for themselves but when they hear the words they can relate and know that there is acceptance and others out there going through the same thing, whether it be happy or sad or even a bit crazy!
My favorite song to perform without a doubt is "Sunshine". It is dedicated to my little sister, Isabella, and was written in the memory of my father, David Bean, who passed when I was 11. Out of every song I've written, "Sunshine" took me the longest to write considering I had so much to say... There was a lot of hurt and bitterness that I had to get rid of before writing that song. I wanted this song to be a reminder of how we overcame the struggles and loss of a great father. It's called "Sunshine" because that was my sister's nickname from my dad and it was one of our brightest memories of him. I think this song means so much to me because it is such a tender subject in my life. Being so open about it has helped others relate to a loss they may have experienced as well."
